Every piece of katrinelli clothing is made from 100 % cotton cultivated from organically controlled agricultural resources. No materials considered harmful to the environment or to one's health are used in the manufacture or the processing of the clothing.

The dyeing, pressing, and stiching processes are performed exclusively in Germany. The dyes used contain neither heavy metals nor allergen causing additives and are azo-free. The high ecologically and socially responsible standards meet the guidelines for the certificate of the Natural Textiles Industry and the GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standards). The strict criteria for this quality seal meet and exceed the statutory conditions.

Independent testing institutes perform regular inspections on the manufacturer and the product beginning with the agricultural cultivation of the threads to the final production of the clothing item. Only when the test results completely fulfill all points required by the Natural Textiles Organization does the item of clothing receive the mark of quality: Natural Textile/GOTS-Certified.
